Profile Information:

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I got into it in 2006/7 in Belgium when I met Monica, Toke, George, Ria, Helen and a few more mates. I helped to bring the practice into the European Commission where it has taken root under the name 'art of participatory leadership'. I am now a steward of the practice in Austria and Europe at large.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Steward:
I introduced the Art(s) into the European Commission since 2007 and immediately become one of the stewards there. I have co-hosted some 30 or more AoH trainings in the EU environment by now. I envisage to co-develop and co-offer a few deepening seminars to the AoH community, eg on the pro action café, on blending in systemic constellation facilitation practice or on the art of consulting or preparing the ground for strategic interventions with AoH.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
It is mainly about strategic orientation, collective sense and identity, organisational alignment, political-institutional issues of social concern.
I have invented the Pro Action Café as a community process (together with Ria Baeck).
Where do you live/work?
Berghausen, Austria
Would you like to share a web address?
http://www.pro-action.eu
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Besides hosting, I am passionate about
- Jean Monnet and how he created peaceful integration in Europe,
- systemic constellation work,
- the journey of development to wisdom in adulthood (I have translated Otto Laske's Measuring Hidden Dimensions handbook of developmental consulting into German),
- process consulting
- Action Learning
- leadership development
