 ace to get inspired, hone skills, share new learnings, and generate co
 llaborations to serve people and planet at wider scales.The Art of Hos
 ting is a set of methods and designs to foster participatory leadershi
 p in response to the needs of our time. The Dojo will focus on practic
 es for participatory leaders: How can we “host ourselves” to play 
 leadership roles in ways that are effective, collaborative, and sustai
 nable.We will engage each other with Storytelling, Embodiment, Appreci
 ative Inquiry, World Café, and other potent hosting practices. We wil
 l deepen our connection to our work and to one another. And we will ho
 ne the meaningful questions and conversations that will inspire change
  in ourselves, our organizations, and our communities.The workshop is 
 for people who are learning the Art of Hosting and anyone who would li
 ke a taste of how the Art of Hosting works.fee: $75 is the recommended
  cost to cover hosting fees and space rental. We do not want costs to 
 be prohibitive. Please pay what you can plus a little bit more to crea
 te an economy where everyone who wants to participate can do so. Some 
 may pay more and some less than $75. Lunch from Lydia’s kitchen will

 ster.BiosRachel Kaplan, MFT, has been engaging for over 25 years with 
 individuals and groups crafting embodied and creative strategies for s
 ocial change. Her work unites the wisdom of the body (somatics) and th
 e power of the earth (permaculture/deep ecology) as skillful responses
  to 21st century challenges. She is the author of Urban Homesteading: 
 Heirloom Skills for Sustainable Living, and The Probable Site of the G
 arden of Eden.Dana Pearlman, MA, MSc designs and facilitates action le
 arning experiences. Her academic background is in clinical psychology 
 and strategic leadership towards sustainability. She uses participator
 y facilitation processes and powerful questions to enable deeper wisdo
 m at the individual, team, community and collective levels. Her intent
  is to steward capacity building in order to manifest a world that is 
 more whole, interconnected and in alignment with our true selves for w
 iser impact. Her sweet spot is at the intersection of authentic leader
 ship, tapping into other ways of knowing (beyond cognition) the world,
  collective healing and community building in order to accelerate the 
 profound transformation that is needed in our world. She also co-autho
 red The Lotus: a practice guide for authentic leadership towards susta
 inability. Jeff Aitken hosts inspired conversations, coaches communit
 y leaders, and cultivates communities of practice around arts of hosti
 ng, drama therapy, transformative education, and nonviolent social cha
 nge. His PhD focused on the Open Space meeting method in community con
