ues, artwork, woodwork, music and cooking. You will meet qualified fac
ilitators, storytellers and artists and a welcoming atmosphere – the
best conditions for learning the dance of the individual and the coll
ective and experiencing and practicing collective co-creation. You wil
l meet masters of transformation and some of the leading developers o
f sustainability in communities in Denmark. This kind of playful and
non-competitive learning lab is rooted in the Danish Folk Highschool m
ovement and it’s concept of life-long learning, and has been practic
ed at Vallekilde Folk Highschool from the foundation in 1865. Stories
have been told here ever since, and people became inspired to go out a
nd do good community work afterwards. At the heart of this ‘Learning
Village’ are also stories as transformational tools.\nWe will weave
stories about our ancestors and about our time, our neighborhood init
iatives, community building and organic farming. Small stories will in
termingle with systemic stories, and we will build on the story and t
he actions of our time, as we would like it to be told by future gener
ations. The kick-off story is about the crisis Denmark went through 20
0 years ago. Please watch the videoIn 1813 Denmark went bankrupt and b
ecame the greatest looser in the Napoleon war. In the following 40 yea
rs there was a rich development in arts and education and a huge syste
mic shift. What were the pivotal moments of the time? And how do we be
come more aware of finding and acting on those moments in the present
together? How can we change our memes and mindsets? We will frame a tru
ly participatory, cross-generational and co-creating dialogue on the s
ociety and community we want. On Constitution Day Wednesday May the 5t
h Vallekilde Folk High School will open the doors for the public. Part
icipants will take part in various ways.\n You will find description
in both Danish and English here:\nwww.vallekilde.dk/ugekurser/bankerot
