SUMMARY:Art of Hosting - Vermont
DESCRIPTION:What if hosting is the way to lead community change now?\n
\nWe believe one way of living and leading in the world is dying a
nd another is being born.\nJoin us in beautiful Hartland, Vermont thi
s summer to explore how hosting can amplify and accelerate the emerg
ence of fundamentally new solutions in increasingly unpredictable t
imes.\nThe Art of Hosting is more than just a training program. It i
s a response to a world that is becoming increasingly complex and fr
agmented, where solutions and innovations lie not in one leader or
one viewpoint, but in the bigger picture of collective intelligence.
It is learning to lead from the perspective of the whole system; lea
ding from the future as it emerges.\nWhat are the conversations we n
eed to have with each other to build healthy and resilient communiti
es now?\n \nHow do we create the conditions for people to disagree an
d still stay together for the common good?\nThrough storytelling, con
versational methodologies, and playful connections with each other,
we will explore: \n\nPersonal Leadership – What is the change in me
that is needed to create the changes I wish to see in the world?\nPar
ticipatory Methodologies – Open Space Technology, The World Cafe, Ap
preciative Inquiry, Peerspirit Circle and more...\nMental Models – B
erkana Two Loops, participatory process design architecture, long term
strategic roadmaps for change\nStory - We will share stories from Nor
th America and internationally of leading edge collaborative change in
community, organizations and large systems.\nHarvesting - How can we
gather information and capture our learning so it best serves our deep
est desires and strategic needs?\n\nPlease come ready to fully partici
pate, challenge your own assumptions and take responsibility for what
you care about. No spectators!\nCost: $775 USD. This includes tuition,
materials, meals and snacks. This does not include accommodation or t
ravel.\nPay what you can and a little bit more: If you or someone you
know should be at this training but cannot pay the full fee, contact A
erin Dunford (aerin@berkana.org) to have a conversation about scholars
hips and what else may be possible in terms of payment.\n \nRegister:
