Event Description

  • How can we exercise leadership in a way that brings our the best in ourselves, other people and organisations in service of us all?
  • How can we grow the capacity to meet, respect and work with each other to gain the gifts diversity offers us?
  • How can organisations become places of learning, individual and collective development and societal purpose?

Participatory Leadership brings forward knowledge and drive that may be hidden in your teams and community, and galvanizes alignment.

Participatory Leadership is a structured process including tools, methods, design-thinking and a systems approach to galvanizing group and organisational dynamics. While focussed on groups, it scales from the individual to teams, to whole organizations and communities. Built on the core values of respect, partnership, collaboration and accountability, the approach has been used to facilitate deep conversations with small groups, to groups of hundreds of people at a time, and address complex situations in a way that delivers alignment and actionable outcomes.

When you work in a group in which people participate deeply, you feel the energy grow and possibilities build. Harnessing the knowledge, intelligence and energy of a group helps everyone create and share understanding, and take decisions you can trust. Being able to work in a way that ensures people contribute their diverse knowledge and skills to meeting a common purpose is the crowning skill you need to prosper, for your teams to be more agile, creative and purposeful. This workshop offers you tools, methods and approaches to break through stress and resistance, and improve people’s well-being and engagement.

Join us and grow in the means to reliably ignite your team and organisation.

The purpose of the training is to:

  • Equip leaders to host change through practices participatory leadership and participatory methods
  • Explore how the process of hosting conversation complements more traditional ways of leading teams and organisations
  • Explore collaborative means of responding to complex systemic problems and cross cutting organizational  issues
  • Experience and learn how to practice tools that invite people to contribute their strengths and gifts to meet a common purpose
  • Connect to an international network of practitioners

The language of this training will be English.  Your hosting team is:  Toke Møller, Mary Alice Arthur, Ursula Hillbrand, Nina Nisar, Sabine Soeder, Jürgen Engel.

This is perfect !

I will join you on the community day and look SO much forward to it.

I just moved to Heidelberg and would love to connect to the german AoH community -and to reconnect with some of you whom I already met in Slovenia.

Thank you, Ria, for turning my attention to this :)
