Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Working through my workplace on designing and hosting community conversations. Chris Corrigan introduced us to the practice and as someone who has always been involved in facilitating group conversation this attracted me because it was powerful and grounded in a coherent framework and not just a collection of methodologies.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am beginning to explore the practice and learning how to find my place in the dynamic. I have a background in philosophy, biology, and film making, so I am looking to contribute in designing organic, emergent, conversations that use multi-media storytelling to create symbolic meaning.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My connection right now is through my work with newcomer communities and the places that receive them.
Where do you live/work?
Live in Baltimore, work nationally.
