How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I actually heard about the Art of Hosting years ago through friends/colleagues (Jack Pearpoint and Lynda Kahn). Have been following Facebook in the last year, and just participated in the AoH Beyond the Basics in Kingston ON CANADA Oct.21-23, 2015
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am new to the Art of Hosting language and container for knowing, but many of the methodologies (open space, circle conversations, world cafe, and others) have been a part of my practice for more than 20 years.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Collaboration and design for social, community, and organizational change. Currently at Neighbours International our focus has been practices and services that make community inclusion possible particularly for people with disabilities.
Where do you live/work?
I live in the USA, but my work has been international.
Would you like to share a web address?
http://neighbours-international.com
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I have a desire to "make things visible" through my practice as a graphic facilitator, photographer, and fledgling videographer.

Good morning David. As you might guess, I hadn't logged in to the AoH site in a long while. That will change :-)

If you do see this, yes, happy to connect and chat over a coffee. You might also be very interested in the work I am doing as co-host of Yes, And. . . Philly. Using Liberating Structures (great methods from two long-time friends) to support new connections, collaborations, and co-creating. You can reach me at freethinc@hotmail.com

Hi David. Hmmm ... you're right, it isn't working right now. I was on it just recently so this is probably a temporary thing. You're right ... the maintenance of this site is huge ... and we have especially Rowan Simonsen to thank for this. He's amazing. My guess is that it'll be up and running soon. Happy visits!

Hello, David, and welcome to the Art of Hosting community! Glad to see you here. Post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you. There is a vibrant hub in NYC, you'll find members on the people map under the PEOPLE menu. This said, it's hard for some of us to place ourselves on that map! I'm in both New England ... and Paris! We hope you will find value in exchanging in this virtual community!
