Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I did the training in Sao Paulo in 2009 and in Amsterdam in 2011. I was very engaged by how it is possible to host conversations in a different way, that includes, listens, is joyful and creates very inclusive results.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am an experienced practitioner and I have been using the AoH way of hosting for almost a decade now. It deeply informs my planning of processes - the Chaordic steps are used for everything, as well as planning with convergence/divergence models. I've hosted Open Spaces and World cafes quite often for my first 5 years after having been trained while now I am delving deeper into Appreciative Inquiry and circle ways, in Technologies such as Deep Democracy and the Thinking Environment.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Conflict Transformation - Socioenvironmental conflicts; Dialogue facilitation; Civic Engagement; Stakeholder Engagement and Collective Decision Making; Facilitation and Negotiations Training; Consensus Building.
Where do you live/work?
Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Wageningen (the Netherlands)
Would you like to share a web address?
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
On top of the hosting work, I am also an integral coach, a dancer and singer. In my coaching work, I love to support folks working in environmental justice and social change to achieve more self-care, work-life balance and joy in their lives. Schumacher College, Shamanism, Deep Ecology work and Joanna Macy's Active Hope are great inspirations to me, on the work I do for transforming the world, as well as integral theory (Ken Wilber). I love being in Nature, animals and traveling and will try to cook as often as I can, as a way to slow things down and enjoy every possible moment.
