I would like to explore with you how elementals can help in hosted processes. This goes back to an experience we witnessed during a practice day in the EC last year.My dear colleague and mate Helen…Continue

Comment by Helen Titchen Beeth on June 15, 2011 at 3:18am Hi Ursula - what an interesting question! At the Commission's first ever practice day in Luxembourg, we used the talking piece in the check-in and the check-out - but differently both times. At the beginning, we passed the piece to the left... so clockwise. At the end, to honour the increased level of intimacy and depth in the group, we put the talking piece back in the middle after each check out, and people had to step into the centre and take and claim it when they felt moved to speak.
We spent some time talking about this in the hosting team when designing the day - just sat in circle and shared our sensing about what the difference between these two different ways of using the piece. These were not every experienced hosts, but they intuitively knew, and sensed into, the subtle differences between these different ways. In that instance, of course, it was the circle itself- held by two more experienced 'stewards' that created the container where they accessed this knowing together.
Comment by Ursula Hillbrand on June 14, 2011 at 6:56pm One aspect of the subtle worlds are the energies that are present in the room, in the "invisible" container we create and between the people.
Recently I hosted a circle with a check in and a check out, both times going round clock wise. When the talking piece traveled clockwise to close, it felt somehow awkward. I do have Toke's recommendation in mind, that it is good to start clock wise and finish the other way, and that usually felt good.
This time checking out counter clockwise did not satify me, (I did not want to interfer with the flow once it started), and I had room for observing.
Does energy get built up clock wise and settle down counter clockwise? Have any of you made observations?

Comment by Ursula Hillbrand on March 23, 2011 at 4:58pm Dear Carla, as a singer you for sure know the state of see/hear? It is so subtle, the senses connect to perceive it? one of my singing teachers following the Lichtenberg method, which is entirely based on searching for the real sound outside and inside oneself, and then letting the rest of one's machinery be selforganised by being guided through the search/longing for the true radiance in one's voice. In order to do that one needs to give up anything "material" to get to the subtle. Dropping the material world becomes a gateway.

Comment by Analesa Rose Berg on March 22, 2011 at 4:40pm Thanks Ursula and Helen for broadening the field. The Art of Humans Being held in August 2010 in Massachusetts USA may have been the first AoH-inspired gatherings that visibly brought in the sacred and subtle realms. I know this topic has surfaced in other gatherings in Brazil and I suspect elsewhere. Here is a link to our workbook which offers many ways of knowing in addition to the core AoH hosting practices.
Comment by Ursula Hillbrand on March 22, 2011 at 7:01am Thanks Helen, that's exactly what I thought can be attracted into this group conversation. So I edited the group's name, to make it broader.
Comment by Helen Titchen Beeth on March 22, 2011 at 2:52am Thanks for bringing this in, Ursula! As you know, there are many more denizens in the subtle realms than just the elementals, and identity (what/who they are) is less important to them than function (what they're for in service to the greater whole). That is one reason why creating this group makes so much sense - so we can understand better the many ramifications of what we are for - we being not just humans, but more particularly we who feel called to convene and host these conversations that matter.
For those of you who join this group who don't yet know, I am hosting a blog about my own conversations with the subtle realms, called Aquarian Conversations, where there are more insights into all these things.
