Systemic Constellation and deep group processes in the AoH practice

Some of us have been working on to integrate AoH practices with deep psychological processes, such as the constellation work, originally of B.Hellinger or perhaps some use the deep democracy process work as well.  Why not share and see where we are at?

Good luck with your experiment - and let us know how it goes!

Hello Ria, thank you so much for your reaction, I knew already your first two articles and I was extremely interested to just read the last two ones. The complete set is very coherent, it gives beautiful words and philosophical grounds to this magical frontier experience of collective presencing (or flow). And I appreciate so much to feel how your writing is rooted in deep experiences of circle practice.
As you could read in my announcement, my main interest is now to experiment together "how to get there", how to reach this state of synchronized collective flow, in more and more aware, regular and easy ways, through combining artistically our various practices.

Hello Pierre, seems like a great initiative you are taking! Your work seems very much along the lines of Collective Presencing (title that I use for this work these days). You might want to take a look at my new website (although the 4th article, which is the most interesting for you I guess, is not posted there yet). You could find it on the Kosmos Magazine website though.

To explore the combination of facilitation practices, as a way to connect with  synchronized collective intelligence, I take the initiative to organize a peer learning lab at the end of May, near New York, for around 15 experienced facilitators.

If you are interested, please read the attached invitation.

Can you say more about your experience Sara, and point to what is the difference between Systemic Constellation work and the Forum Theatre? I have always been curious about Theatre of the Oppressed, but it never crossed my path really.

Looking and experiencing  deep group processes as a synthesis or integration between AoH and Constellation feels  complementary ideas and tools.

Another  notable, influential and a deep touching knowledge - as well as a theory, and a practice is the  'Theatre Of Oppressed' by Augusto Boal.

Boal begins with the principle that theatre, like language, can be i in congruence to anybody so long as methods are passed on to them. It is this teaching role that Theater of the Oppressed sets out on to achieve. Trough series of exercises, games, techniques and drama forms (of which Forum Theatre is the most commonly used). The aim is to understand deeply the social mechnizm and the reality, and to feel everyone's place and play in it. So then to  be able to change our selfs and then the reality.( As the theorists Schiller, Zola, and Plato individually discuss the concept of social influence in their works. Though their opinions vary, they each focus on the power of theatre to flood the “truth” .they thought that this is the theatre’s role in society ).
(Boal was Paulo Freire's student - 'Education of the Oppressed'.)
I had a powerfull experience last April as a facilitator, hosting a group and using Constellation and the Forum Theatre.

Hi Katie and all, I have been hosting constellation workshops for quite a while by now, with others and alone. I now say that Art of Hosting and constellation work can form a very powerful coalition.

Lena and I started a training programme under this hypothesis.

We found that constellations draw on everyone's wisdom in the room. Circle hosting practice is key to bring this out. We met only few constellation practitioners who understood this, hence the focus on the 'knowing guru' in the room rather than on the 'knowing field'.

We have practiced constellations to be done in full transparency. We have as an aim to de-mystify the process. A good way we found here was to have a 'coach' support the 'facilitator' of the constellation during the whole process.

Our website could already show a bit more of this harvest, but we have not yet found the calm to put it all up.

You may like to have a look anyway:

And I look much forward to meeting you in person soon in Minnesota!!

Warm regards from Europe,

Rainer
