Share your experiences!

After a Circle Intensive - Sept. '11 in Belgium, hosted by Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea - we opened this group/space to share experiences with circle practice. So, here it is for anyone to use. Please share any stories of how the circle has worked, lived and digested in your self and in your work and life.

On this site is also a conversation space that is intented to gather reflections on how important Circle Practice is for Art of Hosting practitioners to deepen their overall practice; so that one has a more specific focus.

Here all kind of stories are welcome!

...except for the fact that the temperature is -10 C and there are horrible amounts of snow-  in that sense it is not so "hot"...:)

Wow, so happy to read about Linda´s experience. Courageous! So glad you posted it here and shared with us. And Mara, Daniela and Waltraud- wonderful to be reminded of the need that´s around- everywhere.

Much love for you and your important work,

Kirsi

Ps. The presidential election is getting very hot here in Finland and I am just wondering whether the circle work in the streets would be useful in that context...

How lovely to hear your sweet voices!!!  How I miss you all!

You are all doing such great work!!  Keep posting it here.  I will have to write something about my new Wisdom Circle that I finally started. Such a joy!

I am happy to say that I have posted Linda's wonderful initiative with report and all is my latest blog post on HOPE.  It is toward the end  - don't give up - I am long winded. Hope you like the context!

With so much love,

Mara

BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOOO waltraud, I am with you and hold the space from far. yesterday I had an inspiring conversation with martina 13 years old, (daughter of my brother Luca) I offered the circle as a possible tool to learn within italian and history classes. she immediately understood and promised to think about it. and after ... having talked about the circle, guess what she said? zia (aunt in italian language) you have always good ideas, somehow difficult to apply because our teachers are too much old style teaching oriented. but I promise to think about.she would love to become designer and architect, and she understood that we need houses and places where to feel well and be happy. she is evolving soo fast and she has understood. very proud and hope she will be part of my healing process too.

love and peace from BXL

Walking to the office in the sunshine this morning I thought (recently often listening to parents on what they think their kids "should" be doing and learning - and basically when it's not hard and painful and fast and "presentable" it can't be valuable or worthwhile...) - well I thought and felt: isn't it puzzling how our societies - and culminating in Darwinism - have accepted the assumption (or rather call it poison...) that life has to be hard and painful and difficult or otherwise something can't be quite right?! Linda I fully agree: life is wonderful!

By the way, my husband and I have started hosting our little parent-run kindergarden in cricle - after the two nannies had a month-long fight and stopped talking with each other, and then the parents ending up in two opposing " camps" around the question which nanny should stay - and the circle keeps doing its wonders and healing - beautiful!

Linda ... I am so moved by what I've just read here - your harvest of the street circle. What magic you created! How courageous of you and how beautiful what you brought forth with simple unassuming measures...you had reclaimed a piece of the shopping city for yourselves and anyone else who might like to join you! Those are the conversations that matter...   I want to bow to you for what you created there in the streets of Leeds!... Much more to say on this, am feeling really touched...

HI Mara - absolutely you can  - the world is awash with good news, do we have ears to hear it?  Thank you for illuminating it

Hello Linda and dear ones,

How lovely to hear from you, I have thought of you often as I have become friends with Oddne (AoT person in Oslo).

Congratulations on a wonderful and inspiring piece of work.  Just giving people a taste of reflecting together is definitely World Work for changing the game on the Planet.  Thank you for having the courage to do this and for giving the rest of us the inspiration to try it ourselves.

May I put your story on my website, as an example of Good News happening around the world in this time of evolutionary change?  Give me a buzz so that I know it is OK with you.

I trust the rest of you are also doing wonderful work.  Why not let us know about it - whatever it is!!  I am scanning the world for hopeful evolutionary work.

With much love and gratitude,

Mara
