Her kommer hele den danske tekst :-)

URBAN CO-CREATION 2640 CHARLOTTEKVARTERET

URBAN CO-CREATION 2640 CHARLOTTEKVARTERET

I am the co-author of a book on Urban co-creation in a social housing area in Denmark together with Martin Rosenkreutz Madsen and Anders Hagedorn - also Art of Hosting practitioners.

The book tells the story of the work they have been doing for seven years in Charlottekvarteret where the have been hosting co-creation processes. At the same time the book is an introduction to a social housing area with a new and positive angle - focussing on resources, relations, creativity and beauty.

The book is out beginning og October. Danish text follows ...

Hello Everyone!  The announcement and all the information for the January 2012 Art of Hosting Training in Denmark is up and available at:  http://artofhostingdk.wordpress.com/  Please tell your friends and colleagues.  Your help getting the word out is appreciated! The primary marketing vehicle for the training is "word of mouth" so feel free to talk it up!  Thanks very much.  And, of course, if you would like to do the training again--each training is a bit different--you are welcome to register as well. :-)

Attached is the harvest from the August 8 Practitioners Dojo with the calling question being:  What does it take to make participatory leadership work?  It was an energizing and insightful time!

The next Dojo will be August 8, 17.00-20.00 in Copenhagen.  Contact me for the location.  A hosting spot is open, so if you would like to practice hosting with either David Reis or Anne Christine Hagedorn, please contact one of us.  Remember, the focus right now is on building capacity so we are ready when our skills are needed.  So I encourage you to step up to the hosting role.  Warmly, David

Here is a harvest from our latest Art of Hosting Dojo in Copenhagen on 15 June 2011.  While we were a small group, we tapped into a huge amount of energy and learning (see below).  Thanks to everyone who came and for the two great projects.  Keep practicing!  Warmly, David

Reflections – what we learned:

-       We can do a Pro Action Café with 7 people and still get amazing results

-       It is OK to have only 2 participants with each host

-       It is important to stick with the method and go through all the questions even when we feel satisfied somewhere in the middle. Sticking with the process creates learning and new realizations.

The theme of the dojo was The Pro Action Café and our purpose was to practice it as a tool and through that practice also tend to the dojo.

Check-in: Key words were – finding mates, creating community, having a place to practice skills, joy to be here,

The Pro Action Café: We had 2 projects.

1. Hannie is preparing a large innovation conference in Kolding  in the autumn.  This is her harvest:

  • Question and quest behind the question – Innovation, focused on a shift in consciousness (from individual to collective – co-creation and connectedness).
  • What was missing – Purpose and most of all me trusting the proces and the quest behind the project.
  • What next steps – involving the partners of the project in this way of working.

2. Anders is working with a youth project “Active Youth” in a social housing area in Hedehusene south of Copenhagen.

Present at the dojo: Hannie, Siri, Anders, Carl, Lama, David, Anne Christine and Carsten joined us towards the end of the dojo.
