 in my hosting work is my trusty singing bowl. The sound of the bell cu
 ts through the murmur and hum of human voices lightly and without viol
 ence. A clean, beautiful resonance can shift the atmosphere in a room 
 from something frenetic or fraught to something present, still and ope
 n. I have experienced this many times, and never more than after strik
 ing the bowl that I crafted with my own hands.Creating a singing bowl 
 is a powerful alchemical experience - and doing so together with other
 s in a sensitively hosted group, in a beautiful place in nature, guide
 d by masters of the art and sustained by nourishing food makes a bowl-
 making workshop an unforgettable moment.For the first time, my teacher
